Former England striker, Michael Owen, has criticized Chelsea defender, Kurt Zouma, following the Blues’ Champions League 0-0 draw against Sevilla on Tuesday night.
Owen, who was less impressed with Zouma’s display against Sevilla at Stamford Bridge, described the centre-back as a player that “fills you with fear”.
The former Liverpool and Real Madrid star also hailed Zouma’s defensive partner, Thiago Silva’s performance against the La Liga side.
“Zouma next to him [Silva] fills you with a bit of fear,” Owen told BT Sport.
“But as soon as you see the ball go into Silva, you relax and that’s what the whole team will be feeling that.
“As soon as he is in possession or is part of the team he spreads that confidence to everybody.”
