End SARS: Umahi orders reopening of banks, filling stations, businesses in Ebonyi

The Governor of Ebonyi State, David Umahi has ordered banks, filling stations and other public and private facilities who closed as a result of the End SARS protest in the state to re-open Monday.

The statement reads in part: “Having carefully reviewed the security situation in the state with the Security Chiefs, Youth and CAN leaders, as it concerns the recent civil disturbances, the Governor of Ebonyi State, Engr Chief David Nweze Umahi, has directed the re-opening of Banks and Filling Stations across the state, with effect from Monday 26th October 2020.

“The Governor assures all business owners in the state and the general public of their safety and urges them to freely go about their lawful businesses as the situation is under control.

“Please, be assured always of the unflinching commitment of our dear Governor towards building a virile and prosperous economy that guarantees the future of all the inhabitants of the state” it stated
