News I prayed to God not to take me – Ronaldo’s mother breaks down in tears over stroke By Temitope - April 2, 2021 0 Dolores Aveiro, the mother of Juventus forward, Cristiano Ronaldo, broke down in tears as she revealed how she suffered a stroke that almost took her life on March 3, 2020. Dolores, who is now making a gradual recovery in Portugal, said she prayed to God not to take her life. Speaking on the development, Dolores told Portuguese media outlet ITV, āIt was difficult, and I thought it was the end for me. āWhen I saw my eldest grandson, āCristianinhoā, come into my room to visit me, it was a big shock for me. āI prayed to God not to take me; I want to see my grandchildren grow up, and that Is what happened. There was a lot of faith there, but it was difficult.ā āI got up to go to the bathroom and fainted; I fell down,ā Dolores added. āWhen I recovered, I tried to get up, but I realised that the left side of my body was paralysed. I called my partner, Jose Andrade, and told him I didnāt feel well and asked him to dial 999. I donāt remember arriving at the hospital. āIn my case, it was five minutes. Cristiano called the doctor from Italy and thanked God I had the operation. Many people are not as lucky as me. āMy recovery is gradual. I left the hospital walking, but it has affected my left side, my mouth, my leg, my speech. A year ago today, I saw my life almost run through my fingers.ā Share this:Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Click to share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)Click to share on Pinterest (Opens in new window)Click to share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window) Related
