Man Utd vs Chelsea: Solskjaer update on Maguire, Cavani, others, confirms players to miss clash

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has provided the latest update on Harry Maguire, Edinson Cavani and Mason Greenwood ahead of his side’s Premier League clash against Chelsea on Saturday evening at Old Trafford.

Solskjaer also confirmed that Jesse Lingard and Eric Bailly would not feature for the Red Devils against Frank Lampard’s side.

Solskjaer’s side defeated Paris Saint-Germain 2-1 in the Champions League group stage tie in their previous clash on Tuesday.

Speaking at his pre-match press conference on Friday, the Norwegian told Man United’s official website: “We’re still hoping Mason and Harry can be available in the squad. Of course, we have a training session today [Friday], so they’re going to have to go through that.

“Eric won’t be available. Jesse won’t be available so we’ll manage without them for a few weeks I think.”

“Cavani might be ready for the squad as well for this weekend. He’s been training hard and been training well.”

“I think he will be available for the weekend.”
