Rapid Vienna vs Arsenal: Arteta to be without six key players for Europa League clash

Arsenal boss, Mikel Arteta, will be without six key players when they take on Rapid Vienna in today’s Europa League clash due to injuries.

The players are Dani Ceballos, Rob Holding, Willian, Calum Chambers, Pablo Mari and Gabriel Martinelli.

Arsenal disclosed this in a statement via its website.

Arteta’s side head to the game following a 1-0 defeat to Manchester City in their previous clash last weekend.

“Dani Ceballos – Slight ankle bruising, will miss Thursday’s match,” the statement read in part.

“Rob Holding – Sustained hamstring strain during the warm-up on Sunday at Manchester City. Rob is likely to be out of action for approximately three weeks.

“Willian – Slight calf issue will miss Thursday’s match.

“Calum Chambers – Ruptured anterior cruciate ligament of his left knee during Chelsea (h) on December 29.

“Pablo Mari – Sustained significant sprain to ankle ligaments during Manchester City (a) on June 17. Aiming to return to full training within the next 10 days.

“Gabriel Martinelli – Sustained injury during training on June 21. Aiming to return to full training by the end of the calendar year.”

The time for the match is 5:55 pm, Nigerian time.
